“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”
|As Albert Einstein explained, to really succeed, we need to give each person the opportunity to develop his or her imagination and creativity. Over the past couple of years, with the guidance of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, the alliance was formed to accomplish a singular important mission: to advocate and promote arts education across our state. We represent all art forms, including dance, film, literary arts, music, theatre, and visual arts. We aim to ensure that the arts are an integral part of quality education, because of its integral role in promoting our students’ personal development and academic performance.
In our first year, the KSAAE sponsored its first successful professional development conference and created its website, to communicate news and items of interest for arts education.
In 2013, our goals are to increase professional development opportunities in arts education to local and regional areas, to recognize student, educator and artist achievements, and to advocate in Topeka for policies that ensure support for arts education.
If we are to achieve these goals, we need your support. This holiday season, please consider making a contribution to promote arts education for our children. A contribution of just $13, to celebrate arts education in 2013, will assist the KSAAE in accomplishing its mission for our children. We also invite you to become a member of the organization. By joining today, your membership will continue through December 31, 2013.
Please share our story with other interested family members, friends and colleagues who are passionate about the arts.
